Induction Cooker Troubleshooting

Induction Cooker Troubleshooting

New technologies emerge on a daily basis in every area. The same thing is applicable to appliances for the kitchen. One of these modern advances is induction food preparation. Employing a magnetic field and unique cookware, an induction cooktop will be able to cook a good meal in just a few moments, while a traditional range would have taken a long time for a very similar outcome. Despite the fact that induction cookers currently have several positive aspects, they are subject to problems just as much as any kitchen appliance. That is why Sarah’s Appliance, an appliance repair specialist in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has prepared the following set of typical problems with induction cookers. Be sure you give them a call if your personal problem is not on the list, as Sarah’s Appliance specializes in home appliance service.

Induction cooker turns off during cooking

This can happen for many reasons. It could be because of the automated shut-off function. Change the automatic shut-off feature using your instruction manual. Another cause might just be that instrument has exceeded an overly high temperature. Be certain that the vent gaps are not obstructed.

Induction doesn’t turn on

The control buttons could be locked. Set the controls to unlock it. See the instruction manual if required. Make certain no fuse has blown and no breaker has tripped.

Element far too warm or is not hot enough

Check your current control setting and raise/lower setting until the wanted temperature is attained. Make certain you are using flat-bottom cookware and not warped pans and that the cookware you are using is not going to influence the heating on the induction stove.

Element cannot heat the food

Once more, many factors can lead to this problem. Perhaps it is a result of a lack of electricity to the induction stovetop caused by a breaker or fuse issue. The cooking control settings can also be improper. The cookware you are currently using is probably not made for induction cooking. It may also not be placed properly. Make certain that the cookware surface area is lying totally on the induction cooker surface.

If it happens that the situation you are encountering with your induction cooker is not listed above, or if perhaps the tricks supplied cannot allow you to correct it, call up Sarah’s Appliance immediately for fast appliance repair in Albuquerque.

Main Types of Refrigerators

With the advancement of technology, many refrigerators are now available, depending on your taste and needs. Sarah’s Appliance, an appliance repair company in Albuquerque, is used to dealing with different types of fridges every day. Sarah’s Appliance specializes in home appliances repair and has summarized the common types of refrigerators available out there.

Side-by-Side Refrigerators

Contrary to the first type, Side-by-Side refrigerators feature fridge and freezer compartments next to each other, both taking up full length of the appliance. Both are also opened from a door in the middle of the fridge. This type of fridge is good for narrow kitchens, although the space available is reduced. Bigger items like frozen pizzas might not fit horizontally in this type of fridge. This model tends to be a little more expensive than basic Top-Freezer or Bottom-Freezer basic models.

Top-Freezer and Bottom-Freezer Refrigerators

These two types are the most commonly used refrigerators. They have a lot of room to store food, and the freezer section makes up about a third of the unit’s size. The name is pretty self-explanatory: the freezer will be on top or on the bottom of the fridge depending on the model you choose. These two types of refrigerators cost less money than other models, though Bottom-Freezer fridges are a little more expansive than their Top-Freezer equivalents, and the freezer opens like a drawer instead of a door.

French Door Fridges

Combining side-by-side design with a bottom freezer, French Door refrigerators offer the best of both worlds, as they contain wide shelves in both sections. Most models offer water and ice dispensers. These advantages come at a price, as French Door refrigerators are among the most expensive models available.

Although many other models are available, the three models listed above are the most common ones you will come across. If you have any questions about different models of refrigerators or if you need to refrigerator service in Albuquerque, get in touch with Sarah’s Appliance today.

Samsung Microwave Troubleshooting

Samsung is mostly known for its smartphones and televisions. However, this company also manufactures home appliances like microwaves and refrigerators. The purpose of this article is to help you troubleshoot your microwave before resourcing to an appliance technician. Sarah’s Appliance, an appliance servicer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is giving you the following guidelines to fix common Samsung microwave problems.

Light bulb fails to work

The light bulb is probably burnt out and has to be changed. Remove the outer cover (at the back of the microwave) and change the light bulb. Is this does not solve the problem, change the light socket. If doing so still does not fix the problem, you will need the help of an appliance technician.

Microwave is loud or noisy

This is caused by an old or damaged magnetron tube. Normally, it is not dangerous to use a microwave when it makes these noises, but they mean that the magnetron is almost dead. You will have to replace it.

Microwave works but doesn’t heat

This problem can be caused by a number of factors. However, it is mostly due to a defective piece inside the microwave causing the electric circuit to fault. Finding the right piece to repair or change can often be costly and long, buying a new microwave is usually cheaper.

Microwave turntable doesn’t turn

This is most likely because the turntable motor has worn out. This is a relatively common problem and replacing the turntable motor is not too complicated. Refer to your instruction manual.

These issues are some of the most common problems that occur with microwaves. It is however possible that you encounter a problem that is not listed above. If this is the case, you should call Sarah’s Appliance for prompt appliance service in Albuquerque. Their certified technicians will get your microwave (or any other defective house appliance) up and running in no time. Call them today to book an appointment.

How to Make Sure your Gas Oven Is Set To The Right Temperature

How do you make sure your gas oven is set to the right temperature?

So, you were baking cookies and almost broke a tooth biting into them? Your cake came out dry and flat? It probably means that the temperature adjustment on your gas oven is not set properly. In this article, we are providing you with a surprisingly easy way to adjust your oven to make sure your gas oven is set to the right temperature.

First, you will need to run a simple test on your oven to find out if the temperature it displays is accurate. To perform this, you will need an oven thermometer (available at most grocery stores). They go for around 10$. Place this thermometer on the rack in the center of your oven, also making sure to follow instructions provided with the device.

Set the temperature for 350 degrees. Once the oven reaches the correct temperature, let it run for 15 minutes and check the temperature displayed on your thermometer. Then, let your oven run for another 5 minutes and check again. Repeat the process and check it a third time five minutes later.  If the average temperature is between 340 and 360, your oven temperature is correct.

If the temperature is outside of that interval, you will need to adjust the temperature by going behind your oven. Pull firmly to pop the knob out. You should then see two screws holding the degree markings in place. Take a look to see where the gauge currently points. Loosen the screws to reposition the numbers to match the temperature in the oven.  Tighten the screws again and then replace the knob on the oven. Perform another test.

If performing this check-up has not solved your issue, call us at Sarah’s Appliance Repair at 505-835-1927 or text us at 505-388-0900 to schedule services for your gas oven. We are also happy to help with any other issues you may be experiencing with other home appliances!
